The African elephant is the biggest living land animal, so it has the most sheer muscular power. The largest land mammal was the Balucithrium or Indicotherium that was 18' high at the shoulder and weighed as much as 3.5 or 4 elephants. The largest land animals of all time were sauropod dinosaurs. Ever bigger bones are being discovered. The largest one of which we have fairly complete skeletons is Brachiosaur. It was 72' from tips of nose to tail; could reach its head 46' above the ground; and was estimated to weigh 87.88 tons by Edwin H. Colbert. These dinosaurs were surely the most powerful land animals of all time.

Depend on ones view in some countrys humans are in the animal kingdom which would make humans those powerful but in true Zoo tech talk Elephant rhino exc every animal is diffenrt just like humans

If you are talking about mammals, I would have to say the silver back gorilla, those dudes are fierce! Although, if you are talking about anything in the animal species, I would have to say roaches. They can survive a nuclear war! That is interesting and disgusting...

figuratively,an ant... it can carry its own body weight many times over...while an elephant cant carry it's own body weight even humans are stronger than elephants
