Can it regrow a new body?

The head doesn't penetrate the skin...maybe some of the mouth parts are left behind. Just pull off the tick and then if there is anything dark looking still there tweak it out with a needle like you might do for a sliver. No big deal. It is the diseases they transmit that are important, not the little mouthpart bits that still might be stuck. And no.......it can't clone a whole new body from a little bit (or even a whole head!)

Ticks do not bury their head in the skin. The only possible parts left in the skin would be the tick's mandibles. The best way to get rid of them is to smother them with Vaseline; they let go when their pores are blocked with the petroleum jelly. Like other arachnids, they breathe through the exoskeleton (skin).

No - they do not regrow. The head, though, contains a poison that can be harmful to pets and humans, so make sure to get the head out.

No, but the head will rot and cause an infection. You need to have it extracted, by surgical means if necessary, then clean the wound and use an antiseptic on it.
