Nearly all alligators in the wild want nothing to do with human beings. They will avoid you and even run from you. However, after a period of proximity with humans, and ESPECIALLY IF FED, they loose that natural fear and will become aggressive , ESPECIALLY WHEN FED regardless of size and then dangerous, depending on size. This is because they begin to associate us with food, be it hot dogs or marshmallows or our pets or sometimes our children and occasionally adults.
Feeding alligators is foolish . Yes it is fun to watch, but if the gator is free, it will eventually have to be killed as a menace. The feeding of gators in controlled , commercial attractions is fun to watch ; they are feed properly and neither they nor the future public are jeopardized.
The feeding of gators and other wild animals is done ignorantly by many and foolishly by many.

i lived in florida and went to gator land and yes they will eat it but to be honest with u i wouldnt want to personally find out if this interests u so much watch crocodile hunter he was a good man and did this kind of stuff
