Different species. Geese are smaller but quite aggressive. They have shorter, thicker necks. They "honk". Swans are bigger, with longer necks, much more graceful Usually black or white. They can be mute, like the ones here.
They can break your arm if they attack you.

swans are more aquatic in nature, geese are more accustomed to a life in land and only goes into the water when in danger...

swans are bigger too

It's pretty much a descriptive difference (a "know it when I see it" difference, in other words). Ducks have short necks and flat beaks, Geese have intermediate-length necks and short, more arched beaks, and swans have long necks and bigger goose-like beaks.
