Question: I've seen huge spiders that run fast in my 32 year old home (I'm scared of spiders) I did became brave and caught one of them. How can I tell if it's a hobo spider or a house spider? Do they look a like? Are they poisonous? I do have pets in the house. That's why I'm asking. My pets are very curious. Is there away to kill them (without harming my pets)? Honest please.

I found tadpoles in what is left of our pool. They are small and black. I want to know what to feed them and if it is a toad or a frog.

Has anyone seen a all red butterfly or moth. If so where was it seen, ie city/country? It is common to see these butterflies in that area? Can you give a link to a picture or the name of the butterfly?

I saw a red butterfly where I live and this is not common. This is the first time I every saw a butterfly like that before and I can not find it online. Any help would be great.

There is an orangy/rusty coloured weird looking spider in my study in the UK. It has a bolbous pouch thing underneath it with lots of shiny orange legs which look to be sort of folded underneath it. Its about 1 - 2cm in length.
I have never seen anything like it before, what could it be?
Tried to take a pic but phone camera is rubbish lol

Does an Arizona bark scorpion, which usually carries its tail held flat out to it's side, lift its tail above its back when threatened?

We get bark scorpions in our house with some frequency, and I am familiar with their appearance, but the other night I found a scorpion in my daughter's room that was on the large side and had its tail up over its back. Was this just a threatened bark scorpion, or a different species altogether?

A friend and I were feeding squirrels the other day - they like peanuts but not bread. My friend threw a piece of chocolate and they took it. I know dogs cannot have chocolate. How about squirrels?

I was walking outside around noon today and I spotted a really weird looking animal. I have a really big tree off from my house, and when I walked passed it I saw what I thought was fur. I looked again & hanging on the side of the tree was this animal. I thought it was dead, but it's not. I have lived most of my life in the country, but I've never seen this. I think it could be a groundhog, but I have no idea. It looks like it weighs around 10-20 pounds and it's covered in greyish black fur. It has a furry tail. It's not a raccoon. It's ears are round and small. It has paws like a raccoon-with little fingers. It has changed position and raised its head up, but it has been on my tree for over 6 or 7 hours. I live in the southern part of US.
