Rats generally live in sewers so are not that bothered about copious amounts of rain. But they are mammals and they do drown. I was caught up in the 2004 tsunami. Before it hit, I saw live rats. Afterwards, there were no rats.

I suppose in short, the same events that kill human beings also kill rats.

Most 'london rats' will continue to commute to work every day , support chelsea and eat jellied eels

i dont quite understand the question,who cares what happens to the germ infested bloody things we have already had one plague caused by them we really don,t need another with any luck they would all perish but i,ve got a feeling the,ll still be about long after we are

Rats could swim,that's why they don't need to worry.They can swim to a safety place.
