Possibly a mayfly. I assume that this is near water? They have those wonderful LONG tails.

It's not a locust or a cicada. One of the answers so far is
probably correct. It appears to be a Mayfly, probably a large
one of the genus Hexagenia. The photo gives no indication of
size, but it doesn't look like one of the small ones. These can be very abundant near water.

I am not sure. It may have been a new species! Find a skin and take it to the nearest museum. Maybe you discoved a new life form on Earth. Or it could be a cicada. Probably not.

its a may fly but it does look horrid doesnt itlol wen its molted it looks lovly but kk xxx
