No its not possible because they can run like up to 35 mph that's unless you can run faster than them.if you ever do come in contact with one you should lay on the ground and pretend your dead.

Considering the range in variation in human running speeds, and the ability of grizzlies to run, I think it might theoretically be possible.

There may very well be a top-athlete, Olympic level sprinter that put into a chase with the dopiest, most overweight, arthritic aged grizzly would beat the bear - but on average, most grizzlies will be able to catch up to even an extraordinarily fast human runner.

However, when being chased by a bear, it is important to remember that it's not whether or not you can outrun the bear, but whether or not you can outrun your friend.

No. Grizzly bears are quite fast. They can run about 30-40 mph. Climbing sometimes isn't a good option either. If the bear is very desperate to catch you, it will climb trees. Best to not run into a bear. If you do, you should play dead.

No unless the human runs in a snake pattern which makes the grizzly bears will follow this is because grizzly bears have the tendency to follow it's prey movements in order to catch it.

Humans are far better in running in snake pattern and can be well faster than the rather clumsy grizzly bear.

Grizzly bears are amazingly fast for their size - they can catch white-tailed deer, which run as fast as 30 miles per hour. Grizzlies can sustain running speeds around 40 miles per hour for about one-quarter mile. The fastest running speed by a human in the 100 meter dash is just under 23 miles per hour.

Nope. Grizzlies have known to reach top speed of 35mph. The grizzly can keep on going, where you will tire out.

Wow someone actually cleaned it up a little. Previously everytime I saw this, the atheist simply exclaimed "Oh my god", at least this one makes a little more sense. Still, he could have said "Oh my god (exclamatory, not literally praying), save me!". And the "make the bear a Christian" thing still really doesn't make sense - how would that help him?

If that human made it beyond the first 300 feet, yes.

No, you might out climb one, but you will not out run one.
