My mother is a chronic kidney disease patient for 14 years and has generally been well. She took iron sucrose medication 2 days ago due to low iron levels. While using the medication by infusion through the veins, she reported that she had back pain, stomach ache and muscle tightness. Her blood pressure was very low. The doctor stopped the iron sucrose drips. Her blood pressure had increased and her muscle tightness had also improved. She is OK now but she says that she feels weak. Is she OK? Will this cause extra damage to her kidneys or her health?

other brands says pregnant women can take antioxidants such as gluthaione because the role of gluthaione in the development of the fetus and placenta is crucial. it plays an important role in development of organs and embryo. but the one i brought (gluthatione) indicates in the bottle that pregnant women are not allowed to take it. what is really the truth??

my mom, chf, cirosis, just got over a broken pelvis in Dec, all healed, still a little pain. Doctor has her on paxil, trazadone, klonopin, atavan, plus all her heart meds, stomach medication, lasix, potassium, nifedical, coreg, reglan, metolazone, allopurinol, aldactone, etc. I see four meds here that do the same thing. My 81 year old mom, cant even keep her eyes open even when she isnt tired. She bounces up and down, is full of anxiety, depressed. MY GOD. These doctors arent getting together on her meds. I have asked every one of these doctors if this is normal and they just blow her off. Shes old, and i swear they cant be bothered anymore. She just wants to feel good, NOT DRUGGED. Is there any interactions here???

Hey I'm confused at the moment as of what is wrong with me. I've just had a echocardiogram and my heart seems fine. I gave't yet had a test to check if anything is blocked in my heart and I'm awaiting the results of an ECG. It started about 2 months ago and I've had chest pains(my chest feels tight sometimes) and I've had a pain in a certain spot in what I can only describe is in my heart. I also feel my energy levels have decreased and sometimes feel down in the dumps which is definitely not me at all, usually bubley and always have someting to say....Any feedback would be much appreciated. I'm only 21,m. No family history of heart disease...and could it be linked to my lungs?

My mum has chronic kidney disease for the past 14 years. Her health has been well, her blood urea and creatinine have been under control. However, her haemoglobin level was low and ferritin test showed that she had iron deficiency. So, she was asked to take the iron sucrose medication. While she was taking the iron sucrose medication, she started to feel tightness in her muscle, she started getting back pain and stomach ache. She also felt and weak and her blood pressure was very low. The doctor immediately stopped the iron sucrose medication. After a few hours, my mum got better, her blood pressure was normal and her muscle tightness improved. I just want to know whether her health will be damaged due to the side effects? Especially her kidneys, will it get damaged due to the side effects?

that's bogus, what's wrong with the USPTO to allow basic scientific info to be patented, so that anybody has to pay someone who didn't even discover it some royalty to find a new drug or something that works on that pathway? This is bogus!

It is a widely held view that one or two standard drinks per day is good for one's health.

It has also been a popular idea that red wine is the best for this.

Do you believe this, or will any alcohol in the form or 1-2 standard drinks do the job?
