Alcohol for digestion? I have not heard of such however, some studiessuggested that the apparent health benefits of wine ingested at mealtime may be due to the ability of alcohol and other phenolic compounds in wine to counter adverse effects of fatty foods during the critical digestive phase. Moderate (2-3 glasses a day)alcoholic beverage consumption have beneficial health effects. For heart benefits, a glass of wine has been proven effective by many studies. Red wine is the most beneficial alcoholic beverage.Other alcohols do not yield health benefits. Increasing the amount of consumption however, does not increase the benefit but produces harmful effects instead. These are of the following benefits revealed by different studies:
>>reduction of death from cardiovascular disease and cancer.
>>reduces the risk of coronary heart disease.
>> reduces risk for kidney stones.
>> reduced risk of stroke (moderate consumption of wine but not beer or spirits).
>> lower risk of atherosclerosis.
>> reduced risk of psychological distress.
>>lower risk for adult-onset diabetes.
>>may reduce an older person’s risk of developing dementia.
>>may keep prostate cancer cells from proliferating.
>>may help preserve the mental function of older women.

Consumption of one (or two) drinks (equivalent alcohol) of wine, beer or liquor is said to help eliminate free radicals from tissue which is a good thing. A couple social drinks may be relaxing. Anything more can be habit forming and destructive (especially of livers). It has been said that even one beer can reduce the efficiency of the brain by 15% which is not a good thing for a driver who may need to be 100% in an emergency situation. It is also said that alcohol robs the most recent skills. A professional pianist may still play very well after several drinks but a beginner may forget everything about piano music and coordination. New drivers may lose more skill than older experienced drivers but both are foolish to drink and drive. Many a teenager has lost his/her life to a 'wild' drinking buddy at the wheel who 'thinks' he can walk on water!

Apsolutly no longer. There has been some study the means that having a drink of wine a day has some priceless effects, but nothing's been demonstrated. It is beautiful nontoxic to assert that alcohol only hurts the physique.

A few years ago some studies demonstrated that ingesting a glass of red wine a day decreased the risk for developing heart infarctions. Later some studies demonstrated that it doesn´t happens only with red wine, but also with beer or liquor. But it has to be one ounce a day, equivalent to one beer one shot of any liquor or one glass of wine. It doesn´t counts if you don´t drink all week and reserve the 7 shots for Saturday night.

It's only good for you in very small quantities. Think a thimble a day. Also, with aspirin, it helps to reduce the severity of heart attacks.

The only advantage is for the people who you support in a job to get you the alcohol. As for ingesting it. It will ruin your life.
