I was at a drug store in Mexico a year ago and no it was not over the counter!

It used to be sold in "Tylenol with Codeine" over the counter. I am guessing it still is but that getting it back into the US would be a problem nowadays.

Not over the counter, but it is pretty easy to get a doctor to write a prescription for it.
Script is like $40
the pills are like $40 per bottle

You can get it in Canada. Try '222's which are over the counter and 'contain' codeine.

Not in Mexico. In Canada, they're sold as Tylenol #3
In Mexico, you need a prescription for it, same as the US.

You can pretty much get anything over the counter. Buy 1 codeine, get a hooker free.
