Hey I'm confused at the moment as of what is wrong with me. I've just had a echocardiogram and my heart seems fine. I gave't yet had a test to check if anything is blocked in my heart and I'm awaiting the results of an ECG. It started about 2 months ago and I've had chest pains(my chest feels tight sometimes) and I've had a pain in a certain spot in what I can only describe is in my heart. I also feel my energy levels have decreased and sometimes feel down in the dumps which is definitely not me at all, usually bubley and always have someting to say....Any feedback would be much appreciated. I'm only 21,m. No family history of heart disease...and could it be linked to my lungs?

There are many causes of chest pain. Could mean there is something wrong in your heart or something associated, however it can also be due to stress and nothing serious. If the pain is persistent and intensified there could be really something wrong. As of now wait the results of the ECG and other tests done? Anyway, if you are under stress, you could really feel down and have levels of energy decreased. Try to relax, take some rest and take deep if you start feeling some sort of chest pain.

As your first ECG report says OK, then do not worry, any how you have gone for second opinion, that result should also clear you. Earlier the cardiac problems were expected only after the age of 40+, but due to changed food habits and polluted atmosphere, cases are reporting regularly at even Child stage. Heredity in one of the main reason, but other habits also accounts. Yours must be a chest muscle pain or acidity. Do not worry, your Doctor will take care.

The echo can only show structural heart lesions. It won't reveal any blockages in the coronary arteries.
The ECG should be helpful, and perhaps an Exercise Stress Test will aslo be needed if indicated.
But you're kind off young for ischemic heart disease
But the best would be consult your local General Practitioner

Quite often, gastroesophageal reflux can mimic cardiac symptoms, and would not be uncommon in your age group.

Some of the medications that are used to treat cardiac pain will also help reflux, further confusing the situation.

You should have an EGD to check for reflux, hiatal hernia and H. pylori. See a gastroenterologist.

Good luck.

While this certainly could be physiologic and I wouldn't discourage you from pursuing those diagnoses, your description would also fit very well with common psychologic/psychiatric issues and those should not be discounted. You should probably visit at least one generalist who can evaluate all of you rather than a single organ system.
