What if my idea really is original and I submit it to a company like www.davison54.com and they decide steal my idea and tells me that "We have investigated your idea, but someone else has already invented it", even if no one has and then they turn around and trues to sell that idea to a company or whatever they do with a new invention idea? I have an idea for an invention, but I don't know what to do next.

If say a welding machine had its voltage adjusted while under load and in use, could an electrical shock be generated and thrown from the units transformer by this action? Possibly causing injury?

When a submarine dives does it shrink like a cartesian diver? I know what forces are involved but does the tensile strength and design prevent any shrinkage? Are the effects insignificant or are any changes measurable and have to be taken account of in the design?
