I've spent the past two days searching the internet to no avail

How do I find out how deep to make the footers for a house? Slab-en-grade concrete foundation. According to my teacher, the footers have to be below the frostline for whereever you "build" the house. Im looking at the pacific northwest, most likely suburban areas.

So, how deep do I make the footers or how can I find out how deep to make them?

I have been (somewhat reliably informed) that soybean curds flow nicely at 90 degrees, but won't flow at 100 degrees.
I can't think of any mechanisms for this type of behaviour, so could someone please send me a reference for it, or tell me what happens to the curds at that temperature?

I am looking for a word that means "made of artificial materials in the shape of the original material." By this, I mean I'm seeking the name of the process of creating replacement products in cheaper material while keeping the appearance of the original. One example is molding a fireplace out of plastic but retaining the shape and texture of bricks. Another example is making seat covers out of synthetic material like naugahyde but forming it to resemble leather. I am sure I read this word somewhere once, and I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for your help.

what is a typical day in your job? I'm probably going to major in civil engineering next year, and I was wondering if there was any information you have about it that I wouldn't be likely to find on the net?

A small example...if I purchase one unit of a product that's a small part of a bigger piece of merchandise, but still sellable..the human cashiers usually overcharge me...but if I use an electronic self check-out, the computer always gives me the correct price.
In another realm of AI, Raymond Kurzweil predicts that a pc will by the year 2020 match the computing speed and capacity of the human brain.

Can an Management Information Systems degree net as much as an engineering degree? I have a 2 year degree in computer science as well as 2 year degree in drafting. I have 5 years of drafting experience, but just started a job recently working more in the MIS realm. I want my 4 year degree. It would be much easier for me to finish an MIS degree. I need something like 60 credit hours as opposed to 100 credit hours for an engineering degree....as I took many of the wrong classes initially.
