I asked this question a week ago and got two answerrs both saying it was a precaution against freezing. This is nonsense, for if one compartment freezes both freeze. Water comes from a stand pipe or other source into the large compartment and flows into the smaller one through a cut in the separating wall. The smaller comartment has an overflow device of one sort or another. Both compartments can be completely drained by removing the plug at the base of the compartment.

It is the process of branching of pipeline while product is being transported through the pipeline. So it is a very special technology, which I would like to know in detail or would like to get link of any website to go through for the same.

I have a graduate degree in electrical engineering with a specialty in electromagnetics. Yet none of my textbooks can give a decent mathematical description of baluns, ununs, feedline chokes, or similar devices. I have seen plenty of "hand-waving" explanations that give a general idea about these things, but I have yet to see anyone "do the math." Does anyone know of a good website or a good textbook that mathematically models these devices? It is almost as if the balun is a magical "black art" that no one can fully characterize.

Thanks!
