Suppose you have a jet engine of an airplane burning methane CH4.
The compressor inlet is at -70 degrees of Celsius = -94 Fahrenheit and 0,3 bar. The compressor isentropic efficiency is 90%.

I want to know the temperature or the pressure at the end of the compressor (inlet of the cumbustor).

Thank you.

i understand somewhat the practice of the temp/pressure charts but does the addtion of 30 degrees to ambient temp for the high side pressure for r22 also work the same for other freons? i work with units containing r22, r404a, r502, and r409. and just to make sure i understand completely, can you please explain how to use the temp/pressure chart? and any websites that can benefit would be great. i took a study course but it was limited in information on certain subjects. thanks

I would be lead to believe that a pyramid would be the best, because the design would spread the load out equally throughout the structure. Give me your opinions with reasons why, possibly cited sources.

This is a petroleum refining question directed to chemical engineers if any are present. I presume the numbers are higher than 85 because it could not be volumetrically blended with some petroleum-derived gasoline components which have lower than 85 octane #'s required forthe regular gasoline grade? yes first weigh by keeping weight in one pan and goods in the second, we know that the goods weight is not equal to weight placed in the first pan, then take out weight from first and keep some more goods in the first pan sothat that goods will be equal to weight placed in the first pan
