please answer asap i need it for our our experiment on monday. thank you. the current is for the op amp.

Hi!
According to the specs here, the load resistance should not be less than 2,000 ohms. The maximum load current is 20 ma if I remember.

Go to the manufacturer of your chip (i.e. motorola, philips or similar), and download the data-sheet. The short circuit current is in it.
The 741 is a pretty old Opamp. If my memory serves me well, the first were not short circuit protected, and blew up quite easily.
Nowaday, there is always some internal limitation that renders the chip safe in case of output short.
