Developed countries were able to increase their production with the help of Mechanical Engineering. According to Parkinson’s Law consumption must rise to meet the production. Thus, number of consumers escalated in third world countries to meet the production. This gave rise to population boom. Even stern family planning measures could not control it. So, the population boom is the effect and direct result of mechanical engineering on our society.

air handling units, pressure vessels, any type of power plants ex. hydro power plant, diesel power plant, geothermal power plant, nuclear power plant, etc....design compressors, dryers, nitrogen system, compressed dry air system, vacuum system, chilled water sysytem...piping system, industrial power plants, automotive industries, all types/kinds of engines..thats only the small part, there are many more......
