I'm starting a new job. I want to fit in (or at least not get on anyone's nerves), but frankly I've never worked with engineers before. I'm easy to get along with. I figure that will help. Maybe my best attribute, as they might see it, is I care about the details. In fact, I can get down right obsessed if given the opportunity.

I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on this subject. Thank you.

I have so many inventions and ideas I wish I could just sell them off one by one to the highest bidder. That is how I feel at this point in my life. I have run into so much bad luck with the knowledge that I can change the world but have no way of making my inventions come to life. I drag on day to day trying to complete my inventions the best I can. I actually have an invention already in process but its been over a year and I am still trying to pay off the patent. Honestly if there is anyone out there that wants to make some money off my inventions I will be more then happy to work with them. If you want to just fund me for the materials or actually help me put it together or even want to by all rights to my inventions it is your choice.

I have a test 2morrow and I am having problems with the wording of this practice problem... can someone please explain and or walk me through it...

What peak to peak sinusoidal voltage must be connected to a half wave rectifier if the rectified wave form is to have a dc value of 6 V ? Assume that the forward drop across the diode os 0.7 V.

Am I looking for Vpr (peak value of rectified waveform), or Vpp (peak to peak voltage)... Do i have to do anything with Vrms? I am so confused

In 1895 J. C. Bose gave his first public demonstration of electromagnetic waves, using them to ring a bell remotely and to explode some gunpowder. In 1896 the Daily Chronicle of England reported: "The inventor (J.C. Bose) has transmitted signals to a distance of nearly a mile and herein lies the first and obvious and exceedingly valuable application of this new theoretical marvel." Popov in Russia was doing similar experiments, but had written in December 1895 that he was still entertaining the hope of remote signalling with radio waves. The first successful wireless signalling experiment by Marconi on Salisbury Plain in England was not until May 1897.

I found them on a site, but haven't had the time to build there machine. After reading the heck out of the plans and the explanation it theoretically sounds like it would work. Just looking for insight.
