I heard that if you drill a small hole in the side of a lightbulb, and then fill it with gas, you can tape off the hole and put the bulb back in place. Once someone switches the light on ka-boom. Will this really work? I heard lightbulbs have special air inside to keep the tungsten buring, if not it will just mix with the oxygen and meltdown... so will that work? Has anyone ever tried it?

These pumps were used in homes in the Eastern U.S. about 100 years ago. How do they work and are they still made and where? I think they were called (blank)- Soningson pumps. Steam was not involved, but had something to do with a heated air chamber, I think?

i have a vacuum cleaner pump which i want to use in my final year project to reduce the pressure.bt im not able to find out the suction that the pump is generating.the pump has a closed centrifugal impeller and the speed of the electric motor running the impeller is 20,000 rpm approx.how do i calculate the parameters so that i could find a way to increase the suction?

someone plz help me out with this. my project is stuck bcoz of this problem
