You tell me. When scientists want something built, they turn to or turn into engineers, or, God forbid, technicians.
I think I'm all three of the above, but my degree is in Electrical Engineering. You wanna call me dumb, you demonstrate that you're better at problem solving. I, too, think your question offensive.
By the way, what is a scientist, anyway?

First, engineers ARE scientists. Engineering is called APPLIED SCIENCE. Get it?
The smartest person of my generation I ever met personally went to study engineering and then decided to go to applied math. The second smartest person I ever met is an engineer. And the third smartest person I know is me, and I am an engineer.
So, I don't know what this pissing contest of yours is about. There are geniuses everywhere, and pure science does not have a monopoly on them.
That said, I went and checked some of your other questions. I don't know if you are smart playing dumb, but you are certainly not very mature.

I thought engineers WERE scientists
whats the definition of scientist if engineers don't fit into it
and finally, who gets paid more (I could make a case that the group that gets paid more was the smartest and I think that there is more money in the APPLIED sciences of enineering)
but then, I'm biased

Engineers are much more practical than most scientists. Engineers put theories into products for residentials and commericials.
Scientist creates paper and patterns.

At the research level, there is no difference between scientists and engineers and the distinction is a matter of semantics.

Many engineers continue, after their degree, to get their PhD and become scientists. In my experience, it is not always the smart ones who do that.

This was the case. But since the time I became an engineer the scales have been tipped!

I hope not cause I'm fixing to graduate as a Computer engineer... I consider myself to be above-average in intelligence... I really can't answer the question.

well, i take offense at this question.. i am an engineer, and would consider myself at least averagely smart, and i have plenty of common sense, but then again.... beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say
