I feel pretty stupid, this one stumped me and my husband. There is a pic of a dog, Duke. The scale factor from Duke to the drawing is 12-1/2%. He needs to figure how long and how tall Duke is. Then the last question is what setting would you put a copier on, 50 to 200%, to make a life size poster of Duke. I am not quite sure how to help him on this one. Please Help!!

#1) An object with mass m1 = 5.00 kg, rests on a frictionless horizontal table and is connected to a cable that passes over a pulley and is then fastened to a hanging object with mass m2 = 12.0 kg. Find the acceleration of each object and the tension in the cable.
#2) Two packing crates of masses m1 = 10.0 kg and m2 = 3.50 kg are connected by a light string that passes over a frictionless pulley. The 3.50 kg crate lies on a smooth incline of angle 40.0°. Find the acceleration of the 3.50 kg crate.

All the bananas we eat come from trees that are produced through "cuttings" — a stem from an existing tree is planted in the ground, resulting in a new tree. Thus, each tree is a clone of another. Why would growers find it advantageous to produce an enormous series of identical clones, rather than using trees that reproduce sexually?

Find equations of the tangent planes to the sphere x^2 - 6x + y^2 - 8y + z^2 + 2z = 10 with a normal vector <2,2,1>. Hint, first find the center and radius of the sphere and use the normal to go from the center to the two points of tangency that are on the sphere.

-----
So I found the center and radius (3,4,-1) r=6
The length of the normal is 3 so I need to multiply the vector by 2 to find the points.

But how would the equations look?
Is it just <±t+4x, ±t+4y, ±t-z> = ?
So that any number t would find the point?

KOH is strong and H3po4 is weak

If K is the salt of KOH, then K would make KOH with water which would form H+ ions and turn the solution acidic?

I know its wrong, I just dont know why..

If someone could help.. thanks..
