Dividing a number by itself?

Why is it that

3/3 = 1
2/2 = 1
1/1 = 1

but

0/0 is not equal to 1.

how many lots of zero go into 0: 0 or 1? that's what it hinges on regardless of what your calculator says.

if 1 * 0 = 0 doesn't it follow that 1 = 0/0?

Does a capsule of antibiotic exposed out of its foil packaging lose it's potency, even if it's not expired?

I have a strip of amoxicillin bought around a year ago, which expires 2008 pa, but my four year old popped open all the foil covers! I just kept it. Does it lose it's potency or become spoiled?
