put up ratio

recommended ratio , gasoline/oil = 50/1

required ratio, gasoline/oil = 24/x

50/1 = 24/x

crossmultiply
50x = 24
x = 24/50
= 12/25 = 0.48
for 24 gallons of gas 0.48 gal oil should me mixed
