If a small planetoid in a disk of debris is orbiting around or spiraling in on the Sun, the debris outside of it will be going slower than the planetoid and the debris inside the planetoid will be going faster. As the debris is drawn to the planetoid by gravity, will the incoming debris result in a planet that spins clockwise or counterclockwise and why? I don't have the Physics to evaluate the effects of the Sun's gravity pulling one way on the debris and the planetoid's pulling the other. We're looking down on the system from above of course.
I know that if the whole disk has the same angular velocity that the planet will end up spinning counterclockwise like we do.

I'm having a hard time understanding probability. I always thought that probability doesn't really exist, it was just a idea we came up with. I've always thought that if we had a time machine and kept going back in time to observe a specific event it would end up playing out the same way every time

But now i had someone try and explain uncertainty to me and I’m confused.

Is there really such a thing as a random occurrence or is there only one possible way for every event in the universe to play out?

I'm looking for a physics based answer not a philosophical one. Thanks

Like for the formula Ca(H2PO4)2
The numbers are all below the letters..
How would you break that apart??
Like Calcium = 2?
Hydrogen = 2?
I'm confused.

I want something that has to do with Forensics because it's more fun then other types of science and it's the only thing I find interesting. I don't need a list of websites that have science fair project ideas, I already tried that. But if you have anything that involves forensics and is at a middleschool-highschool range of difficulty then I would love you forever. Oh and I can't be too expensive or anything like that.

Thanks!

Can some one describe Ptolemy's major contributions to astronomy in simpler terms to me? Please don't give me websites unless you truly think that they will help me understand more about Ptolemy's theories.

Im about to write a book on future space travel(like star trek or something).the best form of propulsion would be nuclear fusion for spaceships instead of ionic, right?but how do you sustain a fusion exactly if the temp. is hot enough ,do you have to keep pumping in hydrogen? Or does it maintain itself once you have it controlled?

Tarzan, who weighs 820 N, swings from a cliff at the end of a 20 m vine that hangs from a high tree limb and initially makes an angle of 22 degrees with the vertical. assume than an x axis extends horizontally away from the edge of the cliff and the y axis extends upward. Immediately after Tarzan steps off the cliff the tension in the vine is 760 N. Just then, what are (a) the force on him from the vine in unit vector notation and the net force on him (b) in unit-vector notation and as (c) a magnitude and (d) an angle relative to the positive direction of the x axis? What are the (e) magnitude and (f) angle of Tarzan's acclereation just then.

I'm completely lost on what to do.
