I know that there is evidence showing the universe is expanding. But is there any possibility that gravity could pull all the matter back to the center causing so much heat and energy that it could create another "big bang" and this is how the universe continues to live. Never dying, ever changing to stay alive?

I am interested in knowing if laboratories are out there to which doctors can send hair samples (hopefully only the hair above the skin) to get results like the quantity of potassium.

A doctor gave such a test many years ago but maybe he did it with his own equipment. I'm aware that its results are not nearly as good as a blood test and I have already had blood drawn and am awaiting results.

Few such tests are typically given but a little surface hair would be so easy to give up that I'd like to know. David Letterman had his hair tested on one of his shows so its not unheard of.

Thank you to those who answered my question about lightning going sideways.

Now that I know that, what things should (and shouldn't) I do during a period of lightning?

Is it safe to take a shower? Use electrical items?

I live in the Caribbean and we are getting alot of bad weather as it hurricane season.

Thanks.

A red car moving at 44.7 mph passes a blue car moving at 30.7 mph. (Use 1609 meters = 1 mile when converting to meters/second.) Seeing a stopped car in his lane up ahead, the driver of the red car applies the brakes just as he passes the blue car which causes the red car to slow down to a stop by losing 4.36 m/s every second.

(a) How much time (in seconds) passes before the two cars are side-by-side once again?
s

(b) When the cars are finally side-by-side, how do their average speeds compare for the time you calculated above? Please explain fully.
