A race car can be slowed with a constant acceleration of -11 m/s

A) If the car is going 55 m/s how many meters will it take to stop?

B) How many meters will it take to stop a car going twice as fast?

I don't understand how you can do this problem when they only give you one piece of information.

I'm not trying to get someone to do my homework for me, I just really don't know where to begin, I've never been good in applying math to science.

I have a digital thermometer that takes four AAAs or an adaptor that plugs into the wall. The thermometer will run for about 6-8 months on the batteries. Is it costing me more to keep it plugged in or should I unplug it and replace batteries every 6-8 months? Hmmmmm

Why is it that I have never heard this Theory?

The Dominant life form on earth prior to the big astroid taht killed the earth was giant lizards.. ie. Dinosaurs..

Well.. Prior to taht there was no humans on earth riht..

well..

doesnt it go to common sense that the astroid obviously carried something that made way for the beginnings of the human race..
If there was the raw material in place to form monkeys-neandrathalsmodern man ect ect.. then why hadnt it formed before the big crash?

It makes sense that the reason it hadnt happened prior was because something very basic,- possible complex.. but none the less.. very important - was missing from the building blocks..

does this not make sense?

Soo I'm trying to decide what equation to use... D=VT?
I'm not sure if the 12 m/s if velocity or speed.
Could someone show me how to do this please?
