16 t ² - 80 t + 80 = 0
t ² - 5 t + 5 = 0 (does not factorise)
t = [ 5 ± √( 25 - 20) ] / 2
t = [ 5 ± √ 5 ] / 2

You can only partially factor this one by sight. You can take out a common factor:

-16 (t^2 -5t + 5) = 0
(you can divide to remove the -16 completely)
t^2 -5t +5 = 0

This is as far as it goes by sight. If you want to find the solutions, you can use the quadratic formula or complete the square.
