4 answers

1 slowly because it has a high specific heat
2 less dense at normal temperatures (remember ice floats)
3 has salts, gases, etc because it is a great solvent
4 probably ionic (but not disulfide or covalent)
5 polarity

1. hint H2O cools slow and heats slow
2. hint: ice takes up more space then water does, but it the same amount of matter
3. hint it's the universal solvent (most things dissolve in it)
4. hint:of the three what works on surface tension? covalent and Ionic bonds work inside one atom/Hydrogen bond act between atoms/for a disulfide bond you need a sulfide.
5. hint for hydrogen bonds you need polarity

Electronegative Polarity Water has a partial negative charge (σ-) near the oxygen atom due to the unshared pairs of electrons, and partial positive charges (σ+) near the hydrogen atoms. In water, this happens because the oxygen atom is more electronegative than the hydrogen atoms — that is, it has a stronger "pulling power" on the molecule's electrons, drawing them closer (along with their negative charge) and making the area around the oxygen atom more negative than the area around both of the hydrogen atoms.
