I have recently been finding a large number ants on my kitchen counter. My apartment is clean, and I've never had any sort of insect problem before. I believe that the apartment below mine is likely to blame, especially since the ants seem to be coming up through the walls.

Anyway. I have been dealing with these ants by dousing them with dish liquid or multi-surface windex, and wiping down the surface attracting the ants.

This strategy has not been at all effective. They continue to return to the same areas that are undoubtedly clean, at this point.

All of my cleansers happen to be lemon or orange-scented. Am I doing more harm than good by cleaning with food-scented soaps? Is there any way that ants' senses are somehow fooled by these synthetic scents, even though humans would certainly never find them appetizing?

Your plan on going golfing this weekend with a friend. You can either go to your favorite course which is 14 miles north of your house or your friend's favorite course which is 14 miles south of your house. Write an absolute value inequality that represents all the distances you may be from your house.

I'm thinking this may happen, because you can say that the Earth and moon are one body becuase they are connected by gravity, and so if the body suddenly lost a lot of its mass, this would decrease the Earths momentum, and so our balanced orbit around the Sun would be lost, and we'd begin falling towards the Sun... is this correct?

I am taking physics and I am having trouble with the vector section. I am mostly having trouble with sin, cos, and tan. I did not take trigonometry so this might be why I don't know what to do with these terms. How do you find the sin or cos of an angle for example cos of a 25 degree angle and sin of a 25 degree angle. I did it in the calculator using the cos and sin buttons and then putting 25 in parenthesis but it gives me a different answer than the book. Can anyone explain clearly for a beginner?
