When creation science is finally taught in public schools, how long before evolutionary theory takes a back seat to it?

I think it'll be instantaneous too. Once people are exposed to the wonder that is Creationism, they'll realize that evolution is just a theory and not fact.

I can't wait so I can teach my students creation from the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I am sure it will make him and his noodley appendages very happy. Check out the church of FSM.

Creationism has really fallen to a new field called intelligent design. Most scientist, myself included, do not support intelligent design as a mainstream theory. However, there are some holes in evolutionary theory that are exploited by creationist without a global view of the entire theory. In fact, evolution is a fact that cannot be disputed. There are some very difficult questions still left to answer, and these are exploited by the intelligent design folks. It is an interesting discussion, but unfortunately (as witnessed by the responses) one filled with passion and emotion.

When "creation science" is taught in public schools, it will be a sad day indeed.
It would mean that not only evolutionary theory is taking a back seat, but common sense, reason, and science.
Some people want to live in a 15th-century theocracy, but the U.S. is not the place to do that.

That will never happen. Even if some states are stupid enough to allow creationism (I refuse to call it a science) in public schools, evolution will NEVER take a backseat to it.

Why do Christians refuse to see that they are two different concepts? Creationism describes HOW things got here, how the earth was created. Evolution describes what changes take place as creatures, plants, humans, etc. adapt to their surroundings as time passes.

TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! They are not two sides of the same argument.

How is arithmetic fake? As you have pronounced and then stated it incredibly is fake? 2+2 = 4 and 2+2 = 6. how are you able to settle on which regardless of if it incredibly is actual? logic might dictate that 2+2= 4 and 2+2=6. what's there to settle on? Are you asserting human beings can not think of logically to be attentive to that? You stated you need to. Are you afraid? What are you afraid of precisely? you're saying you are able to settle on for your self what to have faith yet different properly i think of they could not understand those issues like I do. What are you afraid of? in no way what some one else believes or is it? Are you afraid of being incorrect? instructors are meant to teach not settle on what human beings could think of. Are you asserting different persons be attentive to extra perfect? Who makes a decision who knows extra perfect? You? Them? Who makes a decision who's qualified? you're youthful and don't understand something previous you. you experience it incredibly is stupid. you experience no person will realize it. So it incredibly is as much as you to settle on who learns what? Who makes a decision what you study then? some one else? you have somewhat some becoming as much as do.

Professor Jay H and others would have us all believe that macro-evolution is a fact, when really, it has no basis in observable science...only conjecture and guessing at things that supposedly happened a long time ago and far away...like most fairy tales. If enough people believe it's true, then it must be true? Many years ago, slavery was thought to be ok and normal by a great many people also.
Can the good Professor or anyone explain how life began without a creator? There is no evidence to date from the scientific community that life can form on it's own from primordial soup or any other means. You need 20 left handed-only amino acids to form life, all living creatures have 20 left-handed amino acids, you can't start it with chemicals and a spark of lightning in the presence OR absence of oxygen which is destructive either way and most geological scientists will tell you the earliest rocks known on earth have evidence of a much greater oxygen content than current levels. You need oxygen to create ozone which shields us from UV rays from the sun or we would die---if you HAVE oxygen, it will oxidize or break down your chemicals. You can't start it up in water because of hydrolysis which breaks down the chemical bonds. In short--it's imposiible here or anywhere else in the universe which leads logically to a creator---GOD. The odds are so overwhelmingly against this happening on it's own for even a simple single cell, which are extremely complex, that it's labelled statisically impossible. And evolution of one species to a higher species has never been observed...you cannot add genetic information not already there.
The teaching of evolution is raising up a generation of non-critical thinkers and lock-step followers whose beliefs in naturalism are touted as science.
We are blessed to have courageous people witness to others of the truth of God's creation and the science that supports it. Man's truth and understanding are changeable---God's truth is eternal.

Never. 'Creation Science' is an oxymoron, and creationism has no business being taught in a science classroom.

I'd say the instant creationism is ok'ed for teaching by the school board. At that point real science has already been superseded by pseudoscience. (Try saying that 3 times fast...)

HA HA HA HA! Paul H--you just gave me a side ache from laughing so hard. This question is definately one of the funniest I've read in a long time. How's that saying go? "Stop preaching in my school and I'll stop thinking in your church" or something like that.
Anyway, thanks for the laugh guys.
