swim around in freezin water for 3mths jump out and walk up to 70 miles for a bonk then stand around for 4mths for a chick to hatch then spend the next 5 mths walking back and forth to feed it. what sort of life is that

I only like snow when im looking at it from inside a nice warm house with a cup of tea warming me up.
And as for freezin water not a chance i like my baths to make my skin to go red from the heat .

You are talking about emperor penguins, not penguins in general. There are 16 other species of penguin that live in a variety of habitats including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, South America and the Galapagos Islands. Most of them never see snow or ice in their lives.
