Can one ascertain a mathematical understanding of the optical illusion of how the moon and stars become larger closer to the horizon...

although...it is considered to be an optical illusion...one is able to see the constellations easier and closer to the horizon.

one would think that directly overhead...that the constellations seen should be the denominator

now this im sure isnt what most of you think its about. if anyone watches the TV series 'The Universe' on the history channel im sure they have seen the comercial for the last episode, which is about the big bang.

in this comercial it says that in 3 minutes 98% of everything ways created, now i was under the impression that 100% of everything was created at the same time in the giant explosion, it might have took more time for some energy to cool into matter, but it was still there.

so can someone explain to me wtf they are talking about, cuz im pretty sure theyre wrong.

is 125 meters/second due east relative to the ground, what is the velocity of the plane being refueled relative to the
A) ground, and
B) refueling aircraft.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
The plane must have the same velocity as the refueling aircraft relative to the ground (and to the refueling aircraft itself) to keep up with it and continue going in the same direction.

"Q: Find the equation of the line parallel to the line 3x+7y+42=0 and four units above it." What does "four units above it" mean? Also a similar question has "three units from it" What does it mean? I know how to solve such problems but I am stuck with this linguistic problem.

I have a dilemma: I've been single for the last year or so and I met the woman of my dreams. She lives on the other side of Canada, and she has a boyfriend (whom she's been with for 4 years). She flew to the city I live in to do some research and will be coming back again in 6 mo. I sent her an email stating I was attracted. She called back -- we talked for hours. I then sent an email asking what would be best for her, and best for her boyfriend. She replied, stating she told her boyfriend about having talked with me for hours and basically that her life was, well, messed up now because she keeps "settling." I emailed her again stating that her integrity and honesty were commendable, then something like "wouldn't it be nice if you could just come and live with me?" She is finishing a PhD and I don't know what the resolution for all parties concerned is. I haven't heard from her in 3 days. Any game theory experts or relationship savvy people with constructive comments on this?

A flat circle of radius 18 cm is placed in a uniform electric field of magnitude 5.1x10^2 N/C.

b) What is the electric flux through the circle when its face is at 40° to the field lines?

Equation:
=EA cos ()
E=5.1x10^2
A=pi x .18^2 = .102
angle=40 degrees
(5.1x10^2)(.102)(cos 40)
=39.84
Yet it is wrong. What am I doing wrong?
