I'm not sure how to work sine, cosine, and tangent problems that have minutes (eg. 10' from the above question). Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

First converts minutes, and if nececcary seconds to degrees.

18°10' = 18 10/60°

Now take the sine.

sin(18°10') = sin(18 10/60°) ≈ sin(18.1666667°) ≈ 0.3117821

chnage it to degrees in decimal
18 deg 10' = 18 + 10/60
= 18.1667 deg
then calculator in degree mode will give sin(18.1667)
