My opinion; not possible.

1. They would have to know if the universe started expanding from the center of maybe a circle. A straight line. (ex. roll down curtain).

2. If the universe was to "pop" then there would have to be an outer shell of some type?

3. How do scientist know for sure that the universe is the biggest,? Example. If atoms had eyes, what would the universe look like to the atoms? They probally wouldnt see it because its so freaking big. For all we know the universe could be the flick of a humungous lighter that lasts 3 seconds but so big it last 50 billion years for us. (50 billion years being an example too)

Im not canceling out the possibility that it couldnt happen. And if you would like to correct me if im wrong then feel free.

What are the magnitude and direction of the electric field at a point midway between a -8.0 µC and a +5.0 µC charge 3.5 cm apart? Assume no other charges are nearby.
FIND MAGNITUDE:

Equation:
E=(k/r^2)(absolute value q1 + absolute value q2)(10^-6)
plug in numbers:
E=(9.0x10^9/.035^2)(8+5)(10^-6) = 95510204.08 N/C

"Suppose your hair grows at the rate of 1/30 inch per day. Find the rate at which it grows in nanometers per second. Since the distance between atoms in a molecule is on the order of 0.1 nm, your answer suggests how rapidly atoms are assembled in this protein synthesis."

I'm getting the answer 7.32 E -5 nm/second, but the software I enter my answers into is telling me it's wrong. What is the answer?

As wkevinc pointed out, this Mayan calendar supposedly predicted the alignment of the sun, moon, earth, and center of the Milky Way. The Mayans didn't have a clue about the center of the Milky Way. Sure, they could see the soft band of light across the sky, but they didn't have the foggiest notion what it was. So where did this galactic reference come from? Certainly not the Mayans.
