The rocket landing was not photographed, not from outside anyway. There is a picture from the window of the LM (Lunar Module). And the first steps were photographed by a camera attached to the outside of the lander. Armstrong activated it as he opened the hatch by pulling on a lanyard (fancy engineering word for string) to activate it. After he and Aldrin were on the surface, they removed the camera from the side of the LM and set it on a tripod a few yards away pointing back at the LM. All this information was WIDELY publicized and is no secret. I saw it all live on TV in 1969. How it would happen was described in great detail before the astronauts stepped out, and later it happened just as described. The first picture was from very close to one side of the ladder. The you could see the view change as the astronauts took the camera off the LM and carried it out away from the LM. Then they turned it around and pointed it back at the LM. It was cool! The other five landings followed a similar process, except that for the last three, Apollo 15, 16, and 17 mounted the camera on the rover instead of a tripod. And it was a color camera, while the earlier ones were black and white. And it was remote controlled from Earth. They even used it to take pictures of the takeoff of Apollo 15, 16, and 17.

hi! The Moon landings have been very authentic. there's a large style of information that 12 adult males walked on the Moon over the direction of the Apollo software. some human beings do no longer have faith it, yet they have not been able to produce any convincing information of trickery or clarify how NASA could perpetrate such a large hoax. Neil Armstrong became into the 1st guy to set foot on the Moon (in the process the Apollo 11 project), accompanied almost immediately thereafter by using Buzz Aldrin. a third guy, Michael Collins, remained in the provider module orbiting the Moon. there have been 5 extra Moon landings after Apollo 11, interior of which 10 extra adult males walked on the Moon. No manned project has been back there because then, yet they DID relatively circulate. i wish that facilitates. good success!

First of all there are no photographs of the rocket landing. That would require a camera to be on the moon already to film it. Second there was a camera on the lunar lander that was activated as Armstrong came out of the lander. So you are wrong young man they did have cameras that could do that.

Boy, some folks really need to read just a little bit of history before asking some of these simple questions.
Everything about Apollo 11 is documented on NASA's website and a lot of other places.

There are no films of the landing except from inside the lander.
They had a video camera on the lander that they deployed from a protective bay on the outside of the lander. They controlled it from inside (have you ever heard of remote control?) and they aimed if from inside to film Armstrong stepping on the moon.

Believe it or not, we had cameras and robot arms (very primitive ones by today's standards) and colour TV and computers (not PCs but NASA had big ones) and we even had flush toilets in 1969. It wasn't the Stone Age.

The annoyiing thing is that people like you make an opinion without knowing anything about it.

Do you really think they would not think of a way to film the most momentous occasion in exploration history. Do you really think after all the 8 years of intense and incredibly expensive Apollo design and development they would not be able to set up a camera to film the first steps – a kid could have set it up.

You are so ignorant it is hardly worth comment.

Opinion without knowing facts is about as ignorant as you can get.

There was this guy named Nicola Tesla. He lived long ago and about 100 years ago he invented radio control. And 50 years later NASA used this magical technology, that you obviously have never heard of, to remotely operate several cameras mounted on and outside the Eagle FROM EARTH!!!! Why do people just get dumber and dumber?...

i think maybe it was really the second time they stepped on the moon, maybe the first time they forgot to set up the camera. But all in all, we landed on the freaking moon people!!!
