Ans 2gy/b
how done: 3x/y=6g/b
y up on right side, 3 down on right side, 6/3=2
for your education: I know you've been taught to "multiply both sides by same thing" and when working with terms "add the same thing to both sides". an easier way to do this is
First for terms: you can move a term across the = sign if you change its sign.
Now for factors: if it's in numerator on one side of = put it below on the orher side up cross= down; down = up
Now do your problem in your head

If you want to do it in two steps, the easiest way is to probably get rid of the y in the denominator first but multiplying both sides by y.
then you'll have 3x = whatever
Divide both sides by 3, or multiply both sides by 1/3, your choice, and you've solved for x

x/y=2g/b. x=2, y=2. g=1, b=2.
3*2=6/2=3. 6*1=6/2=3. 3=3.
