The transmission in Bob's truck hold 11 quarts of fluid. If Bob changes 5 quarts at a time, and allows the fluid to homogenize- what percent is old fluid and what percent is new fluid if he does this 4 times.

It's easiest to calculate the percentage of old fluid and then subtract to get the percentage of new fluid.

Old % = 100*(6/11)^4 ≈ 8.8518544%

New % = 100 - Old ≈ 91.148146%

Old fluid
(6 / 11) ^ 4 = 8.85%

New fluid
100 - 1.75 = 91.15%
