As solar system flys around the galaxy I'm sure we pass through some interesting things along the way.

I've read somewhere in the past that life exists on earth because we have been in a calm part of our orbit.

What are we coming up on in space that could change the way we few things?

Passing through a gas cloud would probably cause a weird sight in the sky at night if it was burning up coming into the atmosphere constantly, but this would be a minor thing compared to other possibilities.

I know our galaxy will ram into andromeda billions of years from now.

Evolution is an attempt to explain the diversity and complexity of life. At the time of its inception, evolutionists did not know about molecular or cellular changes. When the cellular, and later molecular, organizations also evidenced evolutionary change, evolution became one of the most established theories of science. Is the ability to explain future discoveries a good test of a theory? How well do you think evolution fits the study of life?

A block of weight w sits on a plane inclined at an angle theta as shown. View Figure The coefficient of kinetic friction between the plane and the block is mu. Theresa Carlson
A force F_vec is applied to push the block up the incline at constant speed.

What is the work W_f done on the block by the force of friction as the block moves a distance L up the incline?
Express your answer in terms of some or all of the following: mu, w, theta, L. and i got W_f,L.

L*cos theta *mu *-w.

What is the work W done by the applied force of magnitude F?
Express your answer in terms of some or all of the following: mu, w, theta, L.

What is the change in the potential energy of the block, DeltaU, after it has been pushed a distance L up the incline?
Express your answer in terms of some or all of the following: mu, w, theta, L.

I was asked if 0^0 (meaning zero to the zero-th power) is 1 or undefined. Can you help with this. Because according to the laws of exponents with n>0: a^n=1*a, n number of times; and a^-n=1/a, n number of times. Help would be apreciated.

In my last question, I wanted to know if we were in a path of a black hole, what would happen 1st, ie: I know already that the Earth will be sucked in and crushed. but before we get to that, will it be over instantly, or will people suffer from things happening first whe earth hits the black holes gravity field... ie: people being pulled up to the sky, etc?

A 2.00-kg block is pushed against a spring with negligible mass and force constant k = 400 N/m, compressing it 0.220 m. When the block is released, it moves along a frictionless, horizontal surface and then up a frictionless incline with slope 37.0.

What is the speed of the block as it slides along the horizontal surface after having left the spring? and i got 3.11 m/s

now i need...How far does the block travel up the incline before starting to slide back down?
