right now, we have the ability to simulate single neurons and very small groups of neurons. If we could simulate billions of neurons, would that effectively simulate an entire brain? Would this be AI?

What happens if there is a pulley and a monkey is hanging from one side of the rope while an equal immobile mass is hanging from the other end of the rope and suddenly the monkey starts crawling up the rope? Does he go up or down? The mass is moving upwards but is putting a force downwards. The whole equilibrium is messed up...it isn't as easy as it seems.

"horizontal velocity component, Vcos30. time required to reach target, t1= 240/Vcos30.

vertical velocity component, Vsin30. vertical velocity at the peak of the trajectory is 0 due to gravity causing a change in direction. the cannon at this point starts to fall and takes the same amount of time to go down as it took to go up. time taken to go reach the peak, t2=(Vsin30)/g, where g is 32.185.

for the cannon to reach the target exactly when it reaches down to the bottom of the trajectory, t1=2x t2.

240/Vcos30=2(Vsin30)/32.185

V²(cos30)(sin30)=240 x 32.185 / 2
V=sqrt(8919)
V=94.44 feet per second "

Where did the 32.185 come in? How do you get it?

Protons attract electrons yet electrons stay in orbit around protons without actually coming into contact with each other.

What holds them apart from each other?

With all the current hype on global warming, both scientific and political, everyone in northern Europe are preparing for hotter temperature and the effects they will have on our lives. But surely we are putting too much faith in this scenario. With the slowing of the gulf stream (the ocean current that bring us our mild weather) in progress and speeding up we should really be preparing for ice, not fire. Years and years ago, we all thought the world was flat and the atom couldn't be split and space walking was science fiction. Could we be wrong about global 'Warming'? Should we really call it 'Climate Change' instead? Because 'Warming', doesn't mean warming for everyone. Dont put too much faith in our politicians, scientist and computers because lets face it, they have all been wrong in the past and they will be wrong again. What do you all think? Global warming or Climate Change? And remember, there's a big difference between the two.
