Did you know if you made a slurry of ice and water,just like a Slurpy. It would read exactly 32 degrees F.? That is how thermometers are calibrated at the lower freezing point. Just like some are calibrated at the boiling point of water at 212 degrees F. at 14.7 atmosphers of course.

That would be 14.7 pounds per square inch, not 14.7 atmospheres.
