I was asked if 0^0 (meaning zero to the zero-th power) is 1 or undefined. Can you help with this. Because according to the laws of exponents with n>0: a^n=1*a, n number of times; and a^-n=1/a, n number of times. Help would be apreciated.

0^0 is defined as 1.

a^0 = 1 for all a not equal to 0. if a = 0, it's not defined.

Traditional mathematics say its undefined, but according to mathematical patterns it should be 0
