the technology to grow fish in sea farms is very advanced, it is usually the biology of the fish that presents an obstacle for growing fish in farms, and the fish that are grown in farms are usually cheaper and fresher.
another issue is that fish farms usually provide fish that are very rare in the wild and a side effect is a slow return of these fish to the wild.

There are fish farms out in the middle of the ocean nowadays. Maybe these fish will have more of what we expect out of a fish dinner.
