First off, as you probably already know kilograms and pounds are not exactly equal. One is a mass and the other is a force. However here on Earth the two can be thought of similarly. Since F=mass*gravity, the conversation is dependent on gravity which is not a precise number. The approximate answer which is already given is 1Kg=2.2lb.
