Trying to Conceive - March 2007

the thing is, i just got off birth control a month and a half ago and someone told me that birth control stays in your system for up to 3 months after you get off it. I'm pretty sure I had sex when i was ovulating. What are the chances that im pregnant?

I am 18 years old. I have been with my boyfriend for quite some time now and we want a baby really bad. The thing is we've been having unprotected sex for atleast the past 5 months and I still haven't gotten pregnant yet. My periods are normal and everything. I just don't understand why I can't have a baby. Is this something wrong? Should I go see a doctor about this? I need some help or advice!

Why do I feel this animalistic need to "mate" around the time of ovulation?? I thought only animals get this. Also I am afraid of other men other than my husband around this time too, ironic,,,,why does all this happen?

miscarriage. Could the D&C be the cause of the miscarriage? The dr did leave a lil bit of the placenta in my uterus when he did the D&C and I had an infection. But he didnt go back in and take it out because he said I would pass it on my own. I took my medicinces and all to get rid of the infection but I dont know if it ever was gone. Dr never checked afterwards. When I had this miscarriage I had it naturally, and they did an ultrasound and my uterus is empty, but they did find a cyst on my ovary and ovarian cancer is in my family big time. Could any of this be the cause of my 2nd miscarriage or even my first?

I have been takeing ovulation tests to find my LH surge and well It says I found it on all my tests so we had sex every night almost twice a night for a straight month to try and have a baby and well I should of started my period on the 20th of february and I didnt so I thought I was pregnant and took a test this morning and it said negative and then I started my period right after. I dont understand b/c I have had all the signs of being pregnant. My boobs are very tender, I have been cramping, feeling sick in the morning, strange craveings and everything. If I am not pregnant then how can I become pregnant soon? I want it to happen before June! HELP!

I am 21 years old and my husband and I have decided to start trying to have a child. He has two from a previous marriage. I have PCOS and very infrequent periods. What can I do to better my chances of getting pregnant? I take 1500mg of metformin daily and 100mg of spironalactone daily. Any suggestions? What about folic acid? and where can I get it?

i am having 30-33 days cycle and unable to understand when i ovalute. I am having sex form 20th till date and hence i am unable to detect the mucus . I feel wet all the time and my libido also increased. for past 2 days having sex in the night and generally in the morning i find abundent mucus. yesterday it was clear and today it was cloudy . i am really confussed. can any body help me please.

I am 26 and my husband and I started to try and conceive two weeks ago. Since then I seem to have become obsessed with it! It is constantly in my thoughts and everywhere I go I see babies! My husband and I haven't told anyone that we're trying and I'm finding this hard as I would like to confide in a friend and then I could chew her ear off as my husband is getting fed up of me wittering on about diet, ovulation etc! But he feels its best not to tell anyone, as we'll be under less pressure.

I am also feeling anxious as I have recently stopped taking dianette and haven't had a period yet. I think this is normal but I know I probably should've waited until things settled down and I had regular periods...but I'm too excited/impatient. I was thinking that I'll try and chill and not do a test if I don't get a period before the end of the month..is this too soon? I'd love some tips from some people who have been or are going through this!
