If your husband has prostatitis can it keep us from conceiving? We've been trying for over 6 months.?

hi i am not to sure what prostatitis is but to give you hope, me and my husband had been trying for a baby since i was 17 (im now 23), after a year and half we had no luck. so 6 months later we went to the doctors to find out what was wrong, we found out (not knowing the proper termonology) that my husband had like 17% of his sperm that worked but only 1% of them were healthy as the others were mishapen. any way was told that was the reason it was hard to concieve. anyway a year down the line we got married march 2005 and we didnt think much about trying to concieve we was more concerntrating about the wedding. 4 weeks after the wedding io found out i was pregnant. i now have a 15 month old beautiful son after trying for 4 years to concieve. were now trying for another and have been for a year, but dont give up hope if it doesnt happen naturally after a year go see the doc and inquire into alternative ways to concieve like iui or ivf (providing you want to go down that route) hope this helps xx

i have no idea, but dont worry too much about the amount of time that u have bin trying, on average it takes over a year to actually conceive!! xx

ask his doctor. it might as the prostate is what helps make good sperm
