Hi, I have 3 planned children, so I know a little about this ;-) I also have irregular periods. You are most fertile right smack dab in the middle of your periods. If you have a normal cycle, that would be 14 days after the first day of your last period. Also, your body will tell you: most women will have a thick clear discharge and some slight cramping during ovulation. You can also buy ovulation predictors. I found some on ebay fairly inexpensive. Good luck!!

Usually a woman is most fertile 12-16 days after the start of her period. That's not the case for everyone though. Every woman is different. If you have a shorter cycle you will probably ovulate sooner and if you cycle is longer you will ovulate later.
That wasn't the case with me though. I ovulated on day 15 and I have cycles that are in the 30's. It all depends on when your body feels like it's time to ovulate.

You need to go to babycenter.com and use their ovulation calculator. It will tell you when you are ovulating and most fertile. You have to know the date of your last period and low long your cycles are, like 28 days or 29 days, etc.

It's not a rule that 14 days after your last period is when you ovulate. !t's more like 11 to 15 days after your last period is when you ovulate. With every woman it's different, so track your periods, pay attention to discharge, body temperature, and get some ovulation kits. The kits recognize the difference in hormone levels in your urine and let you know when to have sex. Good luck!

A woman is most fertile around the time she ovulates - generally this is 14 days prior the start of your next period, but many things can affect this and cause ovulation at ANY time of the month.

If a woman wants to conceive, the most fertile time occurs between 19 and 10 days prior to the expected menses. Many women use ovulation detection kits that detect the presence of the LH surge in the urine to indicate the most fertile time. Other ovulation detection systems rely on observation of one or more of the three primary fertility signs (basal body temperature, cervical fluid, and cervical position).

In most women ovulation occurs 14 days after the starting day of her period. That is when you would be most fertile.

I always ovulate on the 11th day after the first day of my period. I always know because I am very sensitive (moody), hungry, and generally feel like I'm PMSing. Putting this theory to test...we concieved the first month trying with both of our children. I would pay very close attention to your body to find your ovulation day.
