I had a little girl 7 months ago and need people's opinion on how long I should wait before trying for a boy. My husband is ready now but I don't want to take anything away from my daughter yet as far as this being her time.

It doesn't take a few years for everything to get back to normal. You are fine now. You just have to decide how far apart you want your children. It has to be a joint decision. As for me, after my first child, I waited 4 1/2 yrs for #2 because I wanted to enjoy her as much as possible. Remember, having 2 in diapers and on bottles is difficult and toddlers can be very demanding and jealous. I think you should just enjoy your daughter for a while longer before trying for another.

First off you are not guaranteed to have a boy the second time around. and your baby is only 7 months old still sleeps alot, believe me in a couple of months she is going to be mobile and you are not gonna want to be pregnant!!! stop and enjoy this baby for a little while longer you are crazy if you want two in diapers, and tell your husband he may be ready but what does he do????

Ideally you should wait about two to three years so all of the pregnancy hormones have calmed down, it will be easier on your body. But, truly it is up to you and your husband, it sounds like you should wait a little longer because you want to spend more time with your little girl and that is fine. I wait so my babies could be two to three years apart and that was just because of ages nothing else. Good luck!

You is crazy if you just had a baby that's seven months and your already trying to get pregnant again something is truly wrong with you. Wait until your baby is a least two years old its hard raising two kids that young.

I don't think you need to wait much longer, I would wait a couple more months. But you can ask your doctor and get his/ her opinion.

your body will not fully recover from your pregnancy for 2 years following a birth. it's advised not to get pregnant again during that time, for your optimal health & the optimal health of the future baby.
