miscarriage. Could the D&C be the cause of the miscarriage? The dr did leave a lil bit of the placenta in my uterus when he did the D&C and I had an infection. But he didnt go back in and take it out because he said I would pass it on my own. I took my medicinces and all to get rid of the infection but I dont know if it ever was gone. Dr never checked afterwards. When I had this miscarriage I had it naturally, and they did an ultrasound and my uterus is empty, but they did find a cyst on my ovary and ovarian cancer is in my family big time. Could any of this be the cause of my 2nd miscarriage or even my first?

your first MC was probably because something didn't go right with cell splitting and formation at the beginning (it just happens sometimes) and your second miscarriage was probably due to the fact that after a D&C they actually scrap the lining of your uterus and getting pregnant so soon after the uterine wall was probably too weak to hold the baby, try to give yourself a few months to heal. After a few cycles your uterine wall should be back to normal, ovarian cysts are actually the follicle attaching itself to the ovary or didn't pop through during ovulation, they usually clear up, but that wouldn't have caused your miscarriage. good luck.

There are so many different causes of miscarriage, it would be hard to say. I would doubt if there was any infection present as I would have thought this would have prevented conception. My advice would be to change Dr's as soon as possible. To make a mistake that leaves you with an infection is bad enough but, for him not to make sure he has rectified the problem is beyond belief. Once you have a new doctor, get the cyst checked out straight away.

I know that you need to wait a total of 3 months before trying to get pregnant again... i dont think the cysts had anything to do with the pregnancy nor the misscarriage.. but the longer you wait in between trying to get pregnant the better it is on you and the baby!!
