Pregnancy - September 2007

I understand it's illegal in *some* US states, but as I'm moving to Michigan (from UK) and planning to have another child, I'd like to know beforehand what my pre-natal care options are. In UK you get a midwife immediately (I never saw my doctor once during my pregnancy) and would rather take this avenue with my next child.

i just found out that i am 1 week pregnant but i did drink alot if liqour and wine coolers yesterday... What will happen to my baby is there a chance i might loose it

I sometimes Ill feel better if i drink milk to coat my stomach or ill have a little coke to burp but not always does it help. Im always sick during pregnancy. This is my third baby and Ive got 9 weeks left if i get sick it causes braxton hicks contractions and I dont want to go into early labor!

I know that when someone goes into labor it can take several hours until the baby is born..I dont want to end up sitting in the waiting room for 8 hours..when is the best time to arrive at the hospital while someone is going to give birth.

I am 20 years old and have been on birth control for many years now. My periods are very regular and come when I take my placebo pills wich does not usualy follow any particular cycle, just when its convenient for me. My last period started on august 5th (about 4 weeks ago) and went normally. Last night I felt very dizzy and had very bad cramps wich I passed off as gas and felt these symptoms again this morning. When I was in the shower today, I noticed I was bleeding from inside my vagina. The blood was accompanied by alot of little blood clots and has continued (very lightly) since. Is it possible to have a miscarriage before even knowing you are pregnant? Or could this just be spotting from an irregular period? Any way to tell?

I'm 32 weeks with a boy. For the last few weeks, it feels like he has added "stretching" to his exercise routines... He is head down and LOVES to push his head into my bladder while his butt comes out my right side. I can't do anything about it! I get embarassed in public because my belly becomes SOOO disfigured. Then he usually kicks his feet out the right side of me (not in my ribs at least!) at the same time. It was just happening in the afternoon and evenings, but for the last week or so it seems like it's every day all day long... Has anyone else had this that can relate? Is there anything I can do to get him to change positions a little bit?

I haven't had a period since June 23rd! But I took a home pregnancy test a week ago and it was negative. Is it possible to still be pregnant? I'm a smoker, so I recently stopped smoking (2 wks ago) just in case. But, if I'm not pregnant, what else could it be? I'm not stressed, and I'm otherwise perfectly healthy...??

I am 33 weeks pregnant and last night my boyfriend and I had sex - I wasn't feeling any pain during it but when we looked down there was blood everywhere on the sheets. I immediatly got up and used the rest room and called my practioncer. She said to put in a sanitary napkin and wait an hour if there is still heavy bleeding then come to labor and delivery to be checked out. Well fortunately there was no heavy bleeding-but I'm still spotting and wondering what happened? All help would be apperciated thank you.

thinned out. She has been having short contractions since saturday morning but there is no consistancy with them. Shouldn't the doctor induce her? She eas given 3 different due dates, Sept. 3, 9,14. What do you think?

i am 6 months pregnant and i would never do any drug or smoke anything while i know there is a life growing in me... but my friend who was a big partier up until last week when she found out she was pregnant, she was drinking and smoking... up until last week when she found out she was 7 weeks pregnant she quite everything except smoking weed, and she knows that i think its wrong for her to do so, but she says that she's going to quit just not right now...i don't think she will quit at all, and i have heard a lot of people say that it is okay to smoke weed while your pregnant but i would never be able to imagine taking that chance with an innocent life...what do you think, is it safe? Have you known anyone that has done this? have you heard any bad stories about this?good ones? i just want to know?

hi im 30weeks pregnant and this morning i felt little trickles coming from me i thought it was discharge but wen i went 2 change my underwear i noticed i had leaked abig patch of water on the back of my trouser leg, is this normal or can it be the start of prem labour i have had no braxton hicks or anything like that

If you miscarry before 20 weeks do you have to have the fetus surgically removed? What about for twins? Reason I am asking is because my husbands ex wife made up this excuse (may have been true but she is a nut though) so he couldn't see his son this weekend...she said she and her husband were pregnant with twins and they both died so she had to have them surgically removed. She said she didn't tell anyone about the pregnancy because this might happen and it did (why tell anyone after??). I know she couldn't have been more than 20 weeks! Just curious because I do not buy it especially after the way she rants about NEVER having more kids mainly bc her son was born with a disorder her other children may have too.

My husband and I have paid in full for a trip to Orlando in November and plan to ride on a LOT of rides. We have been trying to get pregnant and I just want to be sure that if we did conceive before our trip, I wouldn't do any damage.
